Master Facilities Plan

Campus Expansion and Improvements, since 2004-2019

The construction of the High School Building is a continuation of a master facility plan that was initiated over 20 years ago, when Colegio Roosevelt acquired what is now Field #4, located behind the Roosevelt Elementary School. Intentional investment and cohesive planning of campus-wide improvements have included the swimming pool, the Early Childhood Center, and the Performing Arts Center (the PAC). In between, Colegio Roosevelt updated playgrounds, Pick-up/Drop-off (PUDOs), and parking. Soon after, the campus envisioning process led to a
more concrete master planning process directed by architects, Perkins Eastman from the USA, with the input of all stakeholders. This new campus plan included the construction of the Commons, the Roosevelt Elementary School (the RES), the Parking Garage, and plans for the High School Building and updated athletic facilities.

The New Phase, 2022-2025

The High School Building was planned for construction in December 2020, but was put on hold due to the pandemic. As the school reopened in 2022, health, wellness, and outdoor learning became increasingly more important in a post-pandemic world. In 2022, Colegio Roosevelt continued with the planned improvements to athletic facilities with the addition of Condor Plaza. Since 2023, Condor Plaza has not only supported Physical Education classes, but also serves as host for student Community Days, gymnastics and other athletic programs, alumni events, PTA programs, senior graduation, art exhibitions, and community-wide activities. Now, in 2025, in preparation for a new High School building, the school has continued to move forward in making improvements to the Commons for Technology and Innovation and the Middle School/High School Library/Media Center, a new Data Center, and a new gym floor. These new improvements and additions prime
the campus for the High School construction.

Preparing for Ground Breaking, December 2025

Colegio Roosevelt is excited to be ready for this next important project within the Master Facility Plan. The high School facility is the oldest facility on campus, and though historically it is a special place for generations of Condors, we believe it is important to ensure our campus facilities collectively and comprehensively support instructional excellence, innovative curriculum, and student centered environments that are signatures at Colegio Roosevelt. The new facility will not only align our campus infrastructure, but will provide the academic departments with opportunities to collaborate and integrate while adding additional hubs and meeting spaces, and provide additional green spaces to an already green and expansive campus. The new High School Building will be a enter of excellence for all students, faculty, families, and alumni, and will not only be a model of excellence for education in Peru, but will serve as a model of excellence in Latin America for American international schools.
