The Middle School at Colegio F. D. Roosevelt is proud of its accomplishments. The MYP technology curriculum is being delivered integrated with other subject areas. We have implemented a successful laptop program and continue to work to improve its effectiveness.
We are in the process of implementing Multi Media Projectors as well as interactive boards in the classrooms which is proven to increase motivation and to serve the different learning styles of our students. "Educators are particularly happy with the improvement in class participation,
student attention, and retention rates" (Basilicato, 2005) .
In addition to our curricular expectations we support a very successful robotics after school program whose goal is to allow our students to discover how science, math and technology can be fun by participating in the annual First Lego League competition. This type of events allow students to work as a team to solve real world problems that scientists face today . This program has allowed our students the chance to represent Perú in international championships in Bodo, Norway and this year Tokyo, Japan.
