The middle school LD program is a combination of
the pull-out and inclusion models. The LD specialists
provide support in the classroom and plan with those
teachers in creating content-enhanced lessons. During
classroom time, the LD specialists may work with
individual LD students or in small groups. The LD
specialists also pull out students individually or
in small groups to work in the LD room, as needed.
Lessons are then designed based on the content in
the regular classroom and the goals and objectives
designated by the individualized educational plan
(IEP).
