IT IS A BUSY TIME OF YEAR, I have indicated in the calendar above the various meetings and concerts which will occur over the next seven weeks. We will give more information as the events draw closer, but please mark your calendars.  As you can see, we will be having presentations about Internet Safety. The presenter will be from Microsoft and will give an accurate picture of what the dangers are that our students face when they go online and what parents can do to help protect their children.

OUR STUDENT IN BODO, NORWAY! - The Kondortech team with students from middle school and high school will be in Norway from the 16 to the 21 of May along with their coach Ms. Gaby and Ms. Holladay to participate in the First Lego League European Open Championship. Visit our teams page to get updated news about this event http://www.amersol.edu.pe/ms/electives/lego/fll/bodo.asp

THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL IS JUNE 28TH.  If you are moving and want records for the student’s new school, please fill out a withdrawal form. Records will be given to students on June 28th. We are not able to give them out sooner since we have to wait for all grades to be in.  Books and materials must be returned to the Media Center by June 12th.  Textbooks are due by June 22nd.  Students who do not turn in Media Center materials will have their access to PowerSchool denied on June 15th.  Students who do not have textbooks in by June 22nd will have their access denied.  Students will receive report cards on June 28th. If they have books or materials outstanding or owe fines to the Media Center the report card will be held.  Report cards not picked up on June 28th may be picked up in the Middle School Office.  School Offices will be closed July 4-15.

YEARBOOKS:  Don’t be disappointed. Order your yearbook now. Pay $40 at the cashier and give the name and grade level of the student to whom you want it delivered.

REPEAT ANNOUNCEMENTS

The MS advisory group is putting together a "World of Knowledge" booth for this year’s FDR kermesse on Saturday, 19 May.  The players will have to answer questions in order to win prizes at this booth and the questions will be related to the Kermesse's International theme.  If possible we'd like your help in several areas.

Decorations:  We would like the decoration of our booth to represent as many countries as possible.  If you have any flags, posters, items particular to your country, etc that we could borrow please send them to the MS office by Thursday 17 May.  PLEASE put your name on these and we will return them.

Prizes:  If you have any  small items we could use as prizes (hats, t-shirts, balls, pencils, pens, etc) please bring them to the MS office by Thursday 17 May.

Time:  If you (or your MS children) have any time and would like to help us in decorating or manning the booth during the kermesse please contact Norma Cornelius, corneliusmendoza@gmail.com phone #:  368-3489 or any of the other MS representatives.

MAY 25TH REC NIGHT:  Our final Rec Night of the year is split into two parts.  From 7:30 – 9:30 the 5th graders are invited to join the 6th and 7th graders for dancing, 4-square, games in the gym, and a barbecue. At 9:30 all 5th – 7th graders must leave and the rest of the evening is for FDR 8th graders only.  While guests from grades 5-7 may be invited to the early part of the evening, no guests may be invited to the 8th grade portion. This is intended to be their special farewell to Middle School Rec Night.
