Our team "Kondortech" working hard to represent PERU at the FLL Asian Open Championship

Our team Kondortech finished in third place at the Peruvian First Lego League National Championship on Saturday, December 15th in the FDR Secondary gym.

As a result, our team and their coach Ms Gaby Eyzaguirre earned the 3rd place Champion of Champions cup and a chance to travel to Tokyo, Japan for the Asia Open Championship in April 27-29, 2008.

This was a very difficult competition because of a late start with the equipment caught in customs and then the number of days of work missed due to issues on campus.

The First Lego League is an international program for children ages 9-16 that combines a hands-on, interactive robotics program with a sports-like atmosphere. Teams consist of up to 10 players with the focus on such things as team building, problem solving, creativity, and analytical thinking through building and programming robots to complete tasks. The 2007 task was the Power Puzzle

We are very excited about having had the opportunity to participate in this amazing event where 60 teams from around the world included our team have been invited. The tournament will take place in the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Shibuya-Ku.

Over the summer we have made changes to our strategy and have improved the performance of our robot. We will going to continue working after school on our robot and our presentation in the days we have before the competition. We want to make sure to be prepared for this important event.
