The action plan that our group had planned was to improve the garden of a poor school in the Manchay area. We had decided to plant a tree and many plants which were able to resist the difficult climate conditions in Manchay. The create process which was the action part of our project was mainly the planting and the painting the mural. All the houses and decorations for the mural had been planted a few days prior to the painting of the wall itself. We painted the mural on the second day of planting because when we finished we had time to spare, therefore we thought it was important to use it wisely. The planting was done on consecutive Saturday mornings. All group members planned accordingly in order to go to the site from 9 AM to 1 PM everyone had to have a flexible schedule just in case the process took longer than for seen. Both days we planted about 3 hours, and the second day we were able to finish a little earlier and because of that we were able to paint the mural. On the first day the tree was planted along with some plants, but the greatest amount of plants were planted on the second day. Group members had help in the planting process from one gardener, Crisitina’s mother, who is a garden designer and also our mentor, and the children which were at the sight. The second day of planting we had help from the same people except for the painting which was accomplished with the help of Alexander’s mother who is a part time artist. These are the actions we took for the planting as well as painting and those were the people that helped us accomplish our goals.
