From the moment we started this project we knew we wanted to work with a poor organization that had to do with children. We investigated poverty in Peru, on education and on children living on extreme poverty (how they were affected: malnutrition, bad school motivation, etc). Most of the population in Peru is very poor, especially the rural population so we thought that the best places to work would be either Manchay or Cieneguilla, but after seeing how much help schools in Manchay received we moved on to Cieneguilla. We realized that most poor schools in Peru had urgent need of educational resources (computers, books, etc) and that made the children be less motivated about learning and going to school, so we decided that was going to be our topic. There we found a site that was in urgent needs of educational resources and we decided they needed a lot of help.
