Laura: I think that in this CoFo project we worked well but we could have done better. First of all I think that we should have more group cooperation, because sometimes we didn’t agree in many things and fight. Also I think that we should improve or personal engagement because sometimes two people had to work more than others. Also, I think that we had bad luck. For example we wanted to take chairs from FDR to give to Manchay but they gave the chairs they had to another CoFo group. Another thing I think we should improve is that it was very difficult to meet the entire group together and because of that we couldn’t work well many days. Although we had many problems when we worked in the school together with the kids everyone cooperated and therefore we did a good job. I am very satisfied with this project because I think that I put all my effort and dedication on it and I did the best I could. |

Philip: I am proud of my group yet also disappointed at the same time. I think that they worked hard when they were motivated but they were rarely motivated due to the fact of us arguing most of the time. I think that responsibility wasn’t taken, and our group fell through by trying to give our work to another group member. At the beginning they worked hard but after the disaster, after the action plan, they weren’t motivated as much as they should have been. In mid April to early May our group split, one pair doing one thing the other doing another. We had to get help and that hurt our work dearly. Even though they fought, at the end we all worked together to finish the project and our work paid off for us when the donations came in from companies. |

Blas: My contribution to our main site was important. When I was at the site I always tried to do my best, and every time the library assistants asked me to do something, I had a high motivation to cover the books, label the books, or read to the kids. Even though I worked well at the site our group had many arguments and if this happens it seems impossible to accomplish our goals. Moreover, I think there was a lack of responsibility between the group members and I; we must finish our responsibilities on the same date it is due, we can’t turn in things late anymore. There was just one problem that didn’t affect the group but only me, I had to redo my process journal since it got lost. At the end, this didn’t matter because I could do it very fast and turn it in. For the next time I must be motivated not only at the site but also when working as a group, the same for the other members. Fortunately, the action plan we created was sustainable and at the end, all the book and MP3 donations from companies came in and we could end our project successfully. |

Antonio:
At the site that we worked, Victor Raúl Haya de la Torre, many fun and commemorative moments passed, which none of us will ever forget. We went through really tough moments to be able to decide on implementing the library. Decisions were really important in our CoFo group, since commonly we were discussing how each others ideas weren’t the best. But in the end we solved our differences in each case. On top of that, we have also made many great decisions with help, from our advisor and supervisor. We made our primary goal of helping the school set up their library. Even though we had a lot of problems, we solved them or changed it to something better or something beneficial for the school. For example, during the time we passed in the school, we helped them in many things that were sustainable and that were a benefit for them. This made us feel proud of ourselves and know that we did our job. On the other hand, on top of everything mentioned before, what was most important is that we were able to meet these kids and share our time with them, by having fun in reading, playing or doing puppets theatres. With this time we spent in the school, we hope that we made a change in the kid’s life and that they learned something they can use in the future. |
