The creation process in our project was to gather clothing and books, getting essential hygiene kits and donating classroom materials for the school. We implemented a books and clothes drive were we exchanged books and clothes for brownies. We gathered 311 items, which were put in groups and donated, to the organization. Later on we passed out the brownies to the kids or teachers who donated the items. Our second solution was to put together essential hygiene kits, which contained: a toothbrus
h, toothpaste, soap and toilet paper. We first went to Wong to buy the items for the kits. We thought that in Lince it would be much cheaper because they sell in bulk. We wrote Wong’s prices and went there. In Lince, as we thought, it was much cheaper. The total cost for 30 items of each in Lince was of 133 soles and 50 cents while the total price in Wong was of 608 soles and 50 cents. There is a difference of 475 soles between Lince and Wong. After buying the items for the kits we placed the objects in their corresponding bags for each kid to have. We finally put them in a larger bag to transport them. Subsequent to our final presentation our families donated some money for us to buy the classroom materials because they felted very touched by our presentation. Our final solution and most important one was to spend time with the kids at Bruce Peru because they really needed a friend to play with and to help them in school. We felt a very rewarded by interacting with these poor kids living in a very low economic community because we knew that they enjoyed being with us and we did too.
