Through out the project and even after we were finished we learned many good things. We interacted and socialized with the girls and made new friends. We also maintained friendships with the site director, the assistants and of course the girls. Our CoFo group thinks that we gained more than we gave in terms of friendship and commitment we gave toward the site. After we finished our ultimate goal we all had a great feeling inside and felt great to have done something that will affect the ones around us in a positive way. This will also help them in the future because now that their walls and surroundings look great they might be hopeful and raise their self-esteem enabling them to accomplish more things through out their lives. They thanked us greately with hugs and even one of the girls stood in front of everyone and gave a small thank you speech in favor of our accomplishments. Overall we learned to work together as a group, and that Peru and the world in general is not just you family, your house, school and friends, it is much more than that, and it is up to us to make a change.
