In the investigation stage, we visited our site to do a needs assessment, to find the problems this community faced. Some of the problems this community had were that they did not have a proper drainage system, roads, gardens or electrical license.  All of these problems required a vast sum of money to address. Therefore, we decided to focus on a problem which had a solution within our grasp. We chose the lack of an appropriate place for the education of young children. When we visited the site, we found out that the existing huawawasi could only support seven kids at a time. We also noticed that the children didn’t have a safe play area. The biggest problem was that there are 180 children under the age of 5 in this community, and that the nearest schools were at least two miles away.
