Our action plan was to build a safe roof for the children to eat underneath, so they would have some organization in their lives. In order to create this roof, we had agreed on contacting an engineer to draw us a plan and figure out the estimated cost of the project. After we managed to estimate the price, we came up with a plan to obtain money through a car wash in school and donations from several companies. The companies that helped us were Pacifico Seguros, Fung Yen and Panadex. However, we also obtained grant money from the school’s earthquake fund and the Sponsored Run. During this time, we had already bought the materials and contacted some builders to help us, since we wanted to get our project started already. So by the time we had enough money, we had managed to start building. In order to create a safe roof, we had to build brick walls and level them to put the roof on, we contacted builders and they helped successfully create a safe roof for the Cuna Jardin.
