“If you give a man a fish you feed him for a day, if you teach him how to fish you feed him for a lifetime” Due to this quote, we had a clear idea if we teach the students about recycling, the knowledge they would receive would remain in their minds forever. However, since the parents in the town weren’t good role models for children it was necessary for us to teach the parents about recycling. We planned to make a presentation about environmental action for the parents and the students in our site. On the other hand, we had planned recycling activities for the students in Manchay so they could learn about recycling in an indirect way; we had a lesson plan to make bins for batteries and posters about recycling to advertise a recycling campaign. The bins we needed for the battery and the posters for recycling activity seemed to have a total cost of six hundred soles. To educate the students we had planned to show educational videos about environmental action. We chose places for the bins with the environmental group to find areas for the bins where every student could use them without any excuses or difficulties. For the bins we had planned to meet with Samaria and CONAM for the bins and resources for teaching. But we couldn’t decide to place the bins by ourselves; we had planned to have meetings with the teachers, and the principal of the school.
