During the creation process we did what we had planned. We talked to the leader of the parent society, and she made a small presentation of what we told her, and that’s how the message got to all the parents of the children. We created ideas and ways to make the children learn, and with the help of CONAM we got some of that. CONAM is the “Consejo Nacional del Medio Ambiente ” and they gave us some tips on how we could teach the students in a more entertaining way. They also gave us some ecological videos, which we reviewed with the kids in Manchay. The videos contained images of really big amounts of trash, in areas close to where the kids in Manchay live so they could see it was their reality. Also we created little battery bins and posters with the kids. Then the kids of the ecological group went to their respective classes and made a short presentation of what the students had to do with the bins of batteries that they had decorated, and with the paper bins that we gave them. They also put up hand made recycling poster so that the kids could come and look at the poster when they pleased. So after the activities, we find out that we had sent a clear message of environmental awareness to the students with the presentations, and activities like making battery bins and poster.
