We are CoFo group #21 and the members are Laura, Kiara, Ginny and Alana. Throughout these past weeks we have been working at a hogar called “San Francisco de Asis” in Chaclacayo.  An American pediatrician who helps kids with different disabilities and low resource lives directs the site we worked with. Our project consisted on raising the kid’s self esteems by doing several activities that would be entertaining and at the same time valuable lessons would be taught. We visit the site every Wednesday and Saturdays with the purpose of working on several activities, previously planned, that will help the kids on the site develop a more confident character and make them feel capable and strong enough and therefore confront any type of situations they might encounter through life. When our project was completed and reached our goal we realized how much we have learned about the reality of life. The hours we spend with the kids, the conversations we had with them, and the reflections after each activity taught us several lessons that helped us become better people.
