Lights Out:

The 6:30 AM wake-up call comes very early! Everyone needs their sleep: students, Roosevelt adults and Explorama guests. Lights out signifies the end of the day, time for a night’s rest. Students are expected to end all talking and go to sleep. Students who do not observe lights out protocol will have the doors to their rooms opened. Students who continue talking will be moved to another room.

Mealtimes:

All Roosevelt students know proper manners and etiquette.

  • Always keep your voice in a soft conversational level in the dining hall.
  • Use your best manners while eating.
  • Invite Explorama guests to go to the front of the line.
  • Take only the food you can eat.
  • Clean up after yourself before you leave.

You are reminded that your behavior reflects not only upon you, but our school. Students who do not exhibit proper mealtime manners will join the Captain’s Table with the adults.

Other:

  • Students may not bring knives on this trip. If a student brings a knife, it will be confiscated and not returned.
  • Since the purpose of this trip is already firmly established, do not bring Walkmans or electronic toys. Bus rides, boat rides, etcetera are times for paying attention to surroundings and for conversing with others about this experience.
