Amazon Adventure 2007
The Amazon River basin is the oldest continuous terrestrial habitat on earth. As a result, its plants and animals evolved into more unique forms than in any other place on the planet. Although the Amazon River basin represents only four per cent of the earth’s surface, it is home for over fifty per cent of all discovered forms of life. Whereas most students study rainforests from books and through videos, you will actually explore this amazing environment!
Students and teachers will be guests of Explorama Lodge, the oldest and most widely respected guest lodge, in the Peruvian Amazon. Explorama features expert guides, safe transportation, excellent food and quality rooms.
Comprehensive adult supervision is provided 24 hours per day by Roosevelt teachers. A health clinic managed by an American doctor is 10 minutes from the Explorama Lodge. |
