About me |
| The religion and the future are two of the most important
things I’ve learned these 12 years of my life. Since I was
baptized with the name of Alonso, my mom wanted me to be a Christian.
She has explained me a lot about Him, and all the history He has
done. The truth is I don’t really know if I’m Christian.
Now that I’m 12 I begin to think more about it. “How
did they know he existed?” is one of the questions I ask.
In the other hand, my dad is the one that teaches me about life
and my future. He has a very strange way of raising me. Strange
because he gives me more liberty and makes me think more of what
to do and what not to do. However, it’s a really effective
way. He always mentions me some secrets he has about life that I
can use in my future. I’ll never forget what I have learned
about religion, and my future. |

School
|

|
| The different school system and language are what make my school
unique. Franklin Delano Roosevelt is my school’s name. I guarantee
you that you will never find a school with the same school system
as mine in Peru. Schools in Peru have all the same rules, except for
mine. In Roosevelt school, the students are the ones that change rooms
for different classes every 55 minutes. In other schools, the students
stay in the same room and wait for their teacher to come. Another
difference is that each student in Roosevelt has a locker and a lock.
Is the student’s responsibility to know the combination of their
lock and the number of their locker. The language is another area
that makes my school different from any other. In this school we only
speak English, except in Spanish class. Even thou we’re in a
Spanish country, we have to talk in English on every class. These
are some areas that make my school the uniqueness in my country. |

About my family |
 |
| My family is a very common one, but it has its uniqueness and differences.
My dad, mom, and sister make my family. Carlos, my dad, teaches me
about life and my future. He is a very intelligent, but he still has
an infant mind. My mom named Bethy believes a lot in religion. She
always wants me to know everything about God, and go to church at
least every Sunday. My older sister, Ruth, makes fun of me all the
time, but I like her. She is 17 years old, so she stays the whole
day in her bedroom talking in the phone and chatting. That’s
the common part of my family. What I find unique and different from
my family that I haven’t found in other family yet is the way
my parents raise my sister and me. It has its advantages and disadvantages.
The advantages are that I have a lot of liberty, and I can do everything
I want. Disadvantages are that even if I’m allowed to do anything
I want, I need to have a schedule, and get good grades at school.
Maybe my parents want me to think more about what is good and bad
for me, and make me more independent. I always see parents punishing
their children, and that’s what I don’t find in my family.
I’ll always think my family as the best, different from any
other. |

| Peru’s tourism is linked to its history. The history
in Peru it’s a great attraction for tourism. People from all over
the world come to Peru to see the great sights it has and to learn about
the Incas. The Incas were people that lived hundreds of years ago in Peru.
They were awesome constructers. At this time, all their temples and houses
are still in good shape. It’s amazing how people that didn’t
have machines or equipment could do so detailed temples that people in this
year could take years to make. The most important ruin that archaeologists
have found its Machu Pichu. They’ve found more information about the
Incas in this ruin. Last year, I went to visit it. It was really impressive.
I’ve never expected Incas could do that type of constructions. Other
than the Incas, the Spaniards make a big part of our tourism. The Spaniards
came to our country to conquer it, and made many deals with the Incas. After
being friends, the Spaniards betrayed the Incas, killing them and keeping
their gold. This is why we speak Spanish in my country. Because of our history,
Peru is the country with the most number of tourists in the world. |
