  • Ginger is used for curing nauseous problems.
  • Ginger cures digestive problems.
  • Lowers blood pressure.
  • Good for curing heart diseases.
  • Used as spices or flavoring for food.
  • Ginger stands erect or in most cases with the leaves spreading out towards the ground at a near horizontal position. 
  • Ginger's origin is Southern China.
  • Ginger is grown in tropic and subtropic areas of Asia, in Brazil, Jamaica, and Nigeria. 
  • Jamaica has the best quality of ginger while 50 percent of the world's harvest of ginger is in India.
  • The rhizome is not a root, although some people refer it as ginger root.
