Diet: The Ceiba
tree's diet is water, sun light, and nutrients from the soil.
Predators:
Logging, Mining Companies, and Indigenous
populations are the Ceiba tree's predators.
Adaptations:
The trees grow large so that they can get
more water and nutrients. It has also has large branches so that it can
house other animals.
Interesting
Facts:
- In the 1940 the fluff surrounding the trees
was taken and used for life jackets.
- Some people turn them into canoes which
can seat more than 40 people
- Ceiba trees are
not cut down like the rest of the trees.
- The Ceiba Tree is one of the tallest
in the rain forest. It grows and rises above the forest canopy
- Its flowers open at night, and bats
pollinate it.
