- The Giant Water Lilies are very
large so they can soke in lots of sunlight.
- Also they have thorns so
that their predetors wouldn't eat them.
- They have roots but they
are not in the soil and it lets them float around.
Interesting Facts:
- The water lily is a huge floating
plant that floats above the water.
- Usually the lily has white female
flowers and also pink male flowers.
- The flowers are the size
of soccer balls.
- The plants come from seeds that
come from water that rises 10 cm. a day.
- Soon it will produce 5-10 leaves
a month.
- The giant lilies provide
food for fish and wildlife.
- The pollinators are large scarab beatles.
- Seeds form it takes a year to germinate.
