Size:  Length: up to 4 ft.  Width: 21 in.

Diet:  Vegetarians: acuatic plants, grass,cereals, grains, tree bark, melons, squash and ocassionally some fruits. 
 

Predators:  Hunted by man, jaguars, anaconda, pumas, alligators, ocelot and caimans. 
 

Adaptations:  It is a land animal but it is in its process of adaptation to water; It has grown hand webs, it can hold its breath longer and it is a very good swimmer. It runs into a river nearby when a predator apears.  It has small legs and a big massive body. Its skin color is gray, redish brown. It has black hair in its head.
