  • This dolphins can be found in most of the rivers from the forests of south america 
  • backbone adapted to be able to swin underwater
  • adapted to travel and hunt by using echolocation (means that sound bouces to an obkect underwater and it goes back to the forehead of its head
  • it uses hight tones for echolocation and thye low tones for comunication

  • They can stay in the water for 110 seconds
  • their brain capacity is 40 % larger than humans 
  • when they are excited they turn bright pink temporally
  • Entere the amazon about 15 million years ago
  • Can swin about 25 miles per hour, can dive to about 650 feet
  • when females sleep they lie on water with the blowhole on air
  • when males sleep they they lie below the surface of the water and then go to breath periodically
  • can bend their necks up to a 90 degree angle
