Size: 20 to 30mm

Life span: When a Brown Frog is 2-4 months old, it is an adult.

Diet: Frogs eat insects, catching them with their long, sticky tongue. They also eat small fish and worms. Brown frog feed them self with insects such as crickets and moths.
 

Predators:  Snakes, lizards, birds, and various small animals such as hedgehogs.
 

Adaptations:  It can be found on the ground, on the rocks, near perminent streams or pools.  They blend in with their color of skin.  When frogs have spots on them, some predators think they are poisinous, so they won't attack them.
 


Interesting Facts:
 

-When they are 2-4 months old they have grown lungs and no longer live in the water completly. 

-
The male's whistling call can be heard throughout the year. 

-They make loud, distinctive, high piched sound that sound like "weep-eep-epp" with 10 - 20 notes.

 -Tadpolls are nearly transparent with couple of pigmented bands.

 -Brown Frogs that lives in South Austrailia can have green back.
