Spanish Name: Lechuga acuatica

Size: There are two different tips, one is 6-7in and the anther is 3-4in and the roots can grow up to 12in

Life span: 

Diet: the nutrients out of the water
 

Predators: 
 

Adaptations: The water lettuces has long roots to get nutrients.  
 
 

Interesting Facts: water lettuces are breeding grounds for mesquites.
Water lettuces roots are good hiding places for small fish and insects.
