Size: 3 to 10 inches (about the size of your hand)

Life span:  Males live from 10 to 11 years while Females live 25 years or more.

Diet: Tarantulas eat insects, birds, snakes and mamals.
 

Predators: Aligators
 

Adaptations: Tarantulas are nocturnal spiders, they live in underground borrlows, dig by themselves.  They will only come out at night and hide till they catch their preys.
 

Interesting Facts:

  • Tarantulas are shy spiders
  • Males die after mating
  • They are harmless unless they are provode
