Spanish Name: El mono del aullador

Size: 
Both have nearly 4 feet including tail.
Male: 16-20 lb.
Femal: 12-18 lb.
Life span: 
Average of 16-20 years

Diet: 
Leaves, nut shells, friuts, all, flowers, and buds.  

Predators: 
*No enemies for the adults
*Enemies for the babies, such as the red uakari, other groups

Adaptations:
They have such a loud howl because they have lived with many enemies so they use their loud howl to give warnings to their friends that some one is near them.  Also to other species which invaded their territory.
They also have a very long nails so they can hang around the trees easily.

Interesting Facts:
*Have shaggy hair
*Its the biggest monkey in South America
*Named for their large howls, which is cause by hyoid
*They have a very strong competition between groups
*Each group has their territory
