Interesting Facts:
-they lay 4 eggs in a hatch
- long toes and claws allow it to run more easily over floating vegetation
and lily pads
-the tips of the jacana's wings are pointy, used for fighting
-both male and female birds are dark brown and/or black , with a yellow
beak
- they live in swampy areas and like to wade in marshes. The
jacana lives in freshwater ponds, swamps and lagoons
