Scientific Name:Ceiba pentandra

Spanish Name:Araba tree

Size: 150 feet

Life span: It an live more than 500 years.

Diet: water, sun light and nutrients from the soil

Predators: Logging. Mining Company. Indigenous populations.

Adaptations: 
The tree has gotten huge to be able to get more water and nutrience. It has also adapted large branches to house other animals

Interesting Facts: 

  • In the 1940 the fluff surronding the trees was taken and used for life jackets
  • Some people turn them into cannoes which can seat more than  40 people
  • Ceiba trees because they are so tall most people dont cut them down like the rest of the trees
