Computer Lab
Reservation Policy
- The lab is available for all *eligible teachers,
on a first-come first serve basis.

- Teachers are responsible for proper scheduling through
our web-signup
system.
|
- In order to create a fair reservation policy, please
do not make reservations with more than a month in
advance.
|
- To ensure equity no teacher should reserve the labs
for more than 10 hours per week. (Special cases will
be considered, please approach the tech-coordinator)

* Teachers are responsible for ensuring students are
using the tech equipment in an appropriate manor and within
the Acceptable Use Policy of the Tech Department. Please make
sure they are not printing irresponsibly
Laptop and Equipment
Checkout Considerations

Laptops can be checked out for extended periods
of time for conferences or other school related
uses, but return date must be clear and abided
by since others may be waiting to use them. Laptop

Digital cameras may only be checked out overnight
since they are needed for digital photography
class, they must be returned before 7:45 am to
the lab.

Make sure all parts checked out are returned
(bag, power cord, flash cards, batteries, etc).

You are responsible for any damage that occurs
when you have any piece of school equipment at
home.

Always when using any technology equipment be careful and
follow instructions:
- Do not change settings of computer.
- Do not download software or updates without authorization
- Save your work in NETWORK (Student NT)
- Be sure to shut computer down before leaving.
All High School students are required to sign an AUP which
states:
1. I understand that the use of technology is a privilege,
not a right, and inappropriate use will result on the cancellation
of those rights.
2. I will use the technology equipment for educational purposes
only.
3. When using school computers, I will:
- be polite
- use appropriate language
- not look at or use anyone else's work without permission
- not use the network in such a way that I would disrupt
the use of the network by others.
4. I will treat all technology equipment (mice, keyboards,
headphones, hardware and software) with care. Vandalism will
result on the cancellation of my privileges and other disciplinary
actions.
5. I will not install "pirated software" or knowingly
use diskettes with viruses on any equipment.
6. I will not download files that are inappropriate or that
could render our network inoperable by exceeding its capability.
(music, programs, videos etc.)
7. I will always log off my workstation after finishing my
work.
8. I will not use technology equipment for games, to do so
will result in an instant referral.
9. If I get an e-mail account I will use good manners, appropriate
language, and I will check my e-mail regularly. I understand
that e-mail messages are like postcards and therefore could
be monitored by school personnel.
10. I understand that school personnel have access to work
stored on the NT-server.
11. I will keep my passwords private and respect other people's
passwords.
12. I will not open, delete, move or modify other people's
files without their permission.
13. I will only use the Internet for appropriate learning
activities. I understand that I am not allowed to search for
inappropriate or use sites on the Internet.
14. I recognize and honor the intellectual property of others.
I will comply with legal restrictions regarding plagiarism
and the use and citation of information resources
15. I understand that Colegio F.D. Roosevelt makes no warranties
of any kind for the service it is providing. Colegio F.D.
Roosevelt is not responsible for any damages I suffer. This
includes loss of data resulting from delays, non-deliveries,
or service interruption.
