The High School Humanities Department of Colegio Franklin
D. Roosevelt provides a comprehensive four year program of studies
which emphasizes development of skills and concepts to provide
students a critical appreciation of national and international, cultural characteristics.
Equally important is fostering a creative environment in which
students learn to work cooperatively to become responsible, well-informed,
open-minded, citizens of this ever changing world.
The High School Humanities program focuses on the student as an
individual, and as a member of a community. It is organized and structured
to meet educational standards put forth by the Southern Association
of Schools and Colleges , the IBO, and the Peruvian Government.
The Humanities program endeavors through its International Baccalaureate,
Peruvian programs and required subject studies to provide a diverse
student community with a knowledge of and a respect for the people and
the history of the United States, Peru, and the world.
