All students are expected to take the IB Exam for the course
they are taking. Students must be registered at Roosevelt and
attending school in order to take the IB exam.
Only the principal can grant permission to any external student
wishing to resit an IB exam. If such permission is granted,
it is only to sit the exam and not to receive assistance from
teachers
or access to school resources.
IB students and their parents are
expected to sign a two-year contract representing their commitment
to the two-year IB program.
At the end of the Junior year, if students leave the IB
diploma or a particular IB certificate subject (s), they must
change
to another course. In this case, students cannot benefit
from weighted grades with respect to their classes ranking
and their
transcript will no longer reflect that they were in an
IB subject in their junior year.
IB seniors, who leave in December
or say that they will not take the exam, will remain in the
class but must still meet
all the
course requirements and will not benefit from either
weighted grades or have IB mentioned on their transcripts (because
they only take school exams).
