The Model United Nations allows students to
experience politics and government on a more realistic level
than they could ever possibly experience in a classroom.
Each school is assigned a country to represent in the Model
United Nations, and all delegates spend months drafring policy
statements, debating issues, learning parliamentary procedure
and writing resolutions to be brought before themain UN council
in the Hague. During the week long United Nations mock session,
students have a chance to gain new perspectives on current
events and politics from international students throughout
the world. |
