Colegio Roosevelt Swimming Academy
August through December 2008


The Roosevelt Swimming Academy is open to the Roosevelt Community between August 11 and
December 19, 2008. Classes are taught by qualified swimming coaches from Aqualab.

The Roosevelt Community is defined as:

• Students currently enrolled in Colegio Roosevelt, their parents and non-Roosevelt siblings
  who are 21 or under;
• School faculty & staff, their spouses and non-Roosevelt children who are 21 or under;
• Roosevelt Alumni, their spouses and non-Roosevelt children who are 21 or under;
• U.S. Embassy overseas personnel, their spouses and non-Roosevelt children who are 21 or
  under.

VERY IMPORTANT!
Alumni and their families, US Embassy overseas personnel and their families, and siblings of current Roosevelt students who do not attend Roosevelt must fill the Pool ID application form prior to swimming class registration.
Enrolled Roosevelt students, their parents and school staff can use their valid School IDs.

To obtain a Pool ID, please stop by the Roosevelt Round House and fill out a Pool ID Application Form, and bring two (2) passport size photographs and a copy of a valid DNI / Carnet de Extranjeria / Passport.

• ADULTS (16 & over, co-ed)

Monday through Friday
6:00 - 6:45 am, 6:45-7:30 am
(If you would like a 6:00am class, we need a minimum of 5 people enrolled to start a class)

Saturdays
6:00-7:00 am; 7:00 - 8:00 am; 8:00 - 9:00 am

CLASS DESCRIPTION - DEPENDING ON STUDENTS LEVELS AND NEEDS:
- learn how to swim: includes floating and basic mastery of 4 different swim strokes
- training for competitions and cross-training
- swim laps & training for advanced swimmers
- swim for physical therapy and rehabilitation

• AQUAEROBICS

Tuesday and Thursday
5:30 - 6:30 pm

CLASS DESCRIPTION
- Aquatic aerobic exercise to strenghthen muscles without swimming
- classes taught by qualified teacher
- accompanied by music

Monday through Friday
5:30 - 6:30 pm

Wednesdays
3:30 - 4:30 pm; 4:30 - 5:30 pm


Saturdays
9:00 - 10:00 am; 10:00 - 11:00 am; and 11 :00am - 12:00 pm

CLASS DESCRIPTION
- teaching, perfecting and training in 4 styles: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly
- starting, turning and finishing
- team work
- time-keeping
- end-of-the-month competition

CLASS REGISTRATION

• Once you obtain your Pool ID, please choose your class schedule.
  Class payments are determined by the number of classes per week (see chart below)
