ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL PARENTS
To improve communications between the HS Dean of Students, HS students and their parents / guardians, detention notification will now be sent via e-mail to all parties. To confirm receipt of the notification a return e-mail needs to be sent by HS parents / guardians at the earliest opportunity. At present, letters are lost or returned late which has made it difficult to confirm if information is being communicated effectively. Where e-mail is not available we will continue to send letters. We appreciate your support in this matter.
NO SCHOOL MAY 15 & 16
There will be no classes on Thursday, May 15 and Friday, May 16 due to the May 15-17 holiday mandated by the Peruvian government. The School Carnival, originally scheduled for May 17, is rescheduled to May 31.
A MESSAGE FROM 5TH GRADE ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING
We are Fifth Graders and we are working on a project about global warming. There are several causes of global warming but the one we chose is car pollution. The exhaust that the cars produce contains carbon monoxide which gets into the atmosphere and traps the heat. So the temperature is rising all over the world, the ice on the Poles
melt and the sea level rises. Each gallon of gasoline produces about 23 pounds of carbon monoxide. There are several ways you can help to stop car pollution here are some ways:
-go with more people in your car
-walk if you are close to your destination
-ride your bike if you do not live so close
-inflate your tires well
-use public transportation
-use msn or e-mail instead of actually going there
-tell other people what you have learned about car pollution and these tips
Thank You.
