8TH GRADE GROUP NEEDS YOUR HELP
Community Focus (CoFo) Group #22 is in need of computers to help make a computer lab for kids with Down Syndrome and support their education. The computers must be PCs and less than 5 years old. If you have a computer that can be donated, please contact the MS Office at 435-0890 ext. 4123, who will send the message to CoFo Group#22. Thank You!
COMPUTER SAFETY PRESENTATION
Anyone, young or old, who uses a computer can be the victim of cybercrime. This includes harassment, unsolicited obscene words and pictures, attacks on your credit and identity, and invitations from predators. Parents need to be informed so that they can help their children and families to be safe with internet use. Please join us Wednesday, April 9th at 7:00 p.m. in the Little Theatre for a presentation by Mr. Jorge Aguinaga, a computer security expert who has educated kids and adults about this topic through an initiative by Microsoft.
UPDATE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We would like to remind parents, especially new families, that it is very important for the school to have your correct or updated personal information (home address, telephone numbers, company affiliation, business address, etc.). Remember, in case of an accident or emergency, it is critical that the school be able to locate you at all times. If you have changed any of the above information, please contact Ms. Nora Márquez (tel. 435-0890, extension 4008 or nmarquez@amersol.edu.pe), in the Office of Admissions so we can update our records.
Thank you very much for your cooperation.

AQUATICS UPDATE
We have started our Aquatics Unit in the P.E. Curriculum: Elementary students from Grades 1-5 with Ms. Villar, Middle School students with Mr. Marquez, and Kinder Aquatics Familiarization with the help of parent volunteers. Overall, our Aquatics unit is a great success! For many of our students, this was the first time they have swimming class during P.E, and students are also benefitting by learning proper use of swimming gear, time management, respect among peers, and learning new skills & games.
We will continue with Elementary grades 1-5, High School students with Mr. Arredondo and Miss Cangea, and EC 4 Aquatics Familiarization (it is important to have at least 5 parent volunteers for this activity). If you have any concerns or questions regarding the Aquatics Unit, please contact lvillar@amersol.edu.pe
SWIM TEAM
Having our new pool gives us more reasons to have a larger Swim Team! So, if your children know how to swim, want to train, and represent our school during competitions, let us know...WE NEED SWIMMERS!!! We currently have 30 ES students, 25 MS students and 14 HS students signed up for the Swim Team. This is quite a record, but we still need more swimmers to have a complete team. Practice days are either Monday-Wednesday-Thursday or Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday. Training schedules for MS & HS can be accomodated to schedules. Come see a Wednesday training session at 12:30pm. Thanks for your support!
