Process to obtain your Resident Visa
To enter the Country :
- New Overseas Hire will enter the country with a Tourist Visa. You do not need to do any paperwork prior to the trip. Just enter the country with a Round Trip ticket.
- Actual Regulations allow a Tourist to sign a Peruvian Contract of Employment with a Tourist Visa, once a Special Permission is given by the Immigration Office.
To request Work Permit :
During the June Trip
- School will request a Special Permission to the Immigration Office, for Overseas Hire to sign the Peruvian Contract with a Tourist Visa. Original Passport and White Immigration Card are required. Permission is usually given within 03 labor days.
- Overseas Hire and School will sign the Peruvian Contract.
- School will submit the Peruvian Contract and the original diploma duly authenticated to the Ministry of Labor to request Work Permit. Ministry of Labor´s approval or comments are usually given within 05 labor days.
To request Resident Visa :
During the July Trip :
- School will take Overseas Hire to Interpol . Interpol will submit report to the Immigration Office within the next 10 calendar days.
- School will submit the Peruvian Contract duly approved by the Ministry of Labor, to the Immigration Office to request Resident Visa. Original Passport and White Immigration Card are required. Resident Visa is usually given within 45 calendar days.
- While this process is in place, Overseas Hire should not leave the country. If trip can not be avoided, the following procedures must be followed :
- a.) Overseas Hire should inform the Human Resources office about the trip at least 05 labor days before leaving the country.
- b.) School will request a Special Permission to the Immigration Office. Special Permission is usually given within 03 labor days.
- c.) Overseas Hire should not exceed 30 calendar days out of the country.
To request Carnet de Extranjeria :
- Once Resident Visa is approved, school will request the Immigration Office to issue the corresponding Carnet de Extranjeria.
- Overseas Hire should go to the Immigration Office to take the picture and pick up the Carnet de Extranjeria
