We are a non-profit, independent Early Childhood through Grade 12 school in Lima, Peru offering an American curriculum in an international setting. We are also an IB World school with authorized PYP, MYP and DP programs.

Our student body of 1,200 is about 50% ex-pat and 50% Peruvian, and our students represent over 35 nationalities.

FDR seeks talented, highly qualified teachers who are committed to the intellectual, social and ethical development of students.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree
A minimum of two years full-time teaching experience, preferably in diverse setting
A valid teaching certificate (licenciatura)
A commitment to the tolerance of diversity
Significant recent professional development
Technology expertise and a commitment to continued growth in personal computer skills and the integration of technology in the classroom
Strong communication skills

Preferred

Master's degree
International school experience
PYP, MYP, DP experience
Interest in and the ability to coach and/or sponsor MS or HS activities or clubs

Please be aware that since Peru is in the Southern hemisphere, the school year begins in late July for new teachers (July 20 this year) and ends in late June (June 28), with a "summer vacation" from just before Christmas until late February (December 23 through February 19).
