Estimados miembros de la comunidad del
Roosevelt,
Es un honor para mí presentar este plan estratégico, aprobado por el Directorio del Colegio en Noviembre del 2004. Ciento veinte voluntarios lo crearon en
el transcurso de dos años escolares - una extraordinaria muestra de apoyo a nuestro colegio.
Anteriormente no se había intentado, ni mucho menos completado, un esfuerzo de planeamiento
de esta magnitud en el Colegio Roosevelt. Fue una experiencia de aprendizaje para cada uno de
nosotros, basado en la firme creencia de que un plan diseñado por muchos sería mejor que un plan
diseñado por pocos. Creemos que, como resultado de esta tarea, no solo hemos creado un mapa de
ruta para el futuro, sino que también hemos comenzado a construir una comunidad más unida,
en la que las contribuciones de cada miembro son bienvenidas y respetadas.
Si bien nos enorgullecemos de haber creado este dinámico plan, todavía nos aguarda el desafío de
su implementación. Sabemos además que para mantener este plan como un documento vital necesitaremos revisar periódicamente su progreso
y ver qué necesita ser reajustado. En este sentido, siempre será un trabajo en marcha. Los invitamos
a participar a lo largo del camino para ayudarnos a cumplir nuestras ambiciosas metas.

Dear members of the Roosevelt community,
It is my honor to present this strategic plan, approved by the Board of Trustees in November
of 2004. One hundred and twenty volunteers created it over two school years-a remarkable
show of support for our school.
No planning effort of this magnitude has ever been attempted, much less completed, at Colegio
Roosevelt. This was a learning experience for each of us, and an act of faith that a plan
designed by many would be better than a plan designed by a few. We believe that as a result
of this work we have not only created a road map for the future, but we have also begun to
build a closer community, one in which the contributions of each member are clearly
welcomed and respected.
While we can take pride in producing this dynamic plan, the challenging work of
implementation lies ahead. Further, we know that to keep this a living document we will need
periodically to revisit how we are progressing and what might need to be adjusted. In a sense
it will always be a work in progress, and we invite your participation along the way in helping
us realize our ambitious goals.
