The Association of American Schools in South America (AASSA)

The association serves as a structure through which personnel in member schools can plan cooperatively to attain common goals and to solve mutual problems. AASSA seeks to broaden the dimensions of education and to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in member schools.

A major part of AASSA's efforts is devoted to annual in-service programs for overseas school personnel. Once each year's in-service topics are decided by the membership, the association plans the locations and logistics of each workshop, and provides several expert consultants in the field. AASSA also supplements member schools for the costs of their attending teachers. Along with the meetings, publishers and school suppliers exhibit the latest in books and teaching aids so that our school personnel are exposed to the most current materials available
