General Procedures
|
- All bids are binding offers of purchase. Once a bid is made, it cannot be withdrawn.
- The FAMILY CODE and PIN NUMBER used for the annual Registration Online (ROL) registration process will be your codes for entering the Online Auction site and bidding on Auction items. Those who are not presently members of the Roosevelt family, can be assigned bidding numbers by request at auction@amersol.edu.pe.
Please use your personal codes when you bid. Each bidder is responsible for all bids using his or her codes.
- In the event of a dispute, the Auction Committee will act as the final authority.
- The Online Auction committee may, at its discretion, withdraw an item from sale if in its opinion the bids are inadequate with regard to the value of the item being auctioned.
- All sales are final and full payment must be made at the Roosevelt Round House between December 3, 4, 5, 9 and 10; from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. daily. We will accept cash and checks in both soles and dollars as well as Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards.
- All Auction items must be removed once payment is made. Some exceptions may be made for larger items as long as pick up is guaranteed by Wednesday, December 10.
- This Auction is strictly a charitable event. Colegio Roosevelt, the PTA, the Auction Committee and all persons associated with the Auction take no responsibility with respect to the goods and services Auctioned.
- Reservations for the use of private homes, tickets, hotels and other services must be mutually arranged between the successful bidder and the donor. We suggest that contact be made within 14 days of the Auction to notify the donor of your purchase. In addition, some items may have restrictions and others, including vacations homes, may be non transferable. Purchasers are bound by the precise restrictions specified by the donor. These restrictions are not negotiable. Please read the specifications and limitations carefully before bidding. Some items are valid through 2008 while other expire as early as January.

The Online Auction
|
- The Online Auction will open for bidding on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the following address http://www.amersol.edu.pe/fdr/auction/index.asp
- Each new bid should respect the stated increments. A Bid History will show you the bidding to date on the item. Once entered, a bid may not be withdrawn.
- If someone outbids you, you may re-bid at any time until the Online Auction closes on the date and time specified in the web site's home page (http://www.amersol.edu.pe/fdr/auction/index.asp).
- Please remember that each item has a specified minimum starting bid and minimum incremental bids. Each incremental bid must equal or exceed the minimum in order to be a valid bid. This is a computer controlled system. A bid will be rejected if it does not meet the minimum price or increment.
- The Online Auction will close on the date and time shown on the web site's home page, Monday December 1, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. . The person offering the highest qualifying bid prior at the close of bidding will be deemed the winner. No late bids will be accepted. This is a comprehensive system that will not accept bids after the close of the Auction. It will regulate according to the Auction clock on the site.
- Winners will be notified of their winning bids by email and can pick up bills for their purchases in the Round House after the Online Auction closes. You will also be able to check winning bids on the Online Website. All bills should be paid between Wednesday, December 3 and Friday, December 10 from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (except Monday, December 8 holiday). A Scotiabank payment will be open in the Roosevelt Round House building.
- Once payment has been made, bidders will get a receipt for their items. This receipt should be presented in the Check Out area in the Round House in order to collect purchased items on your way out.
