Dear Roosevelt Community,
Our Strategic Planning process is off to a great start. The October World Cafés generated a great deal of data and were followed by nearly 90 nominations for the Core Planning Team, Measurement Team and Action Planning Teams.
Thirty-one members of the school community were selected and served on the Core Planning Team. This team (which represents the school’s diversity of roles, nationalities, expertise, and years at the school) met this past weekend for a two-day initial planning session to create a new Strategic Plan through a consensus-based, inclusive process. Dr. Steve Barone from Transformation Systems Limited facilitated the session. Some of you might remember Steve as he previously facilitated the planning process back in 2004.
The school’s mission statement and core values will not change. The Core Planning Team developed three strategic objectives and four strategies that will support the accomplishment of the objectives. The team also formulated strategic delimiters that will focus our efforts on the accomplishment of the mission. Please take a look at these statements in the attached documents.
A special thank you to those who joined me on the Core Planning Team for their time, energy and care during two days of intense work: Carolina Aguilar, Chris Akin, Reynaldo Alarcón, Yocamille Arditi-Rocha, Lorena Chavez-Molina, James Cunningham, Laurie daVilla, Dolores de Goytisolo, Gioia de la Feld, Claudia Dumler, Giovanna Garate, Saori Ishida, John Lakatos, Cara Lawton, Greg Liddle, Reynaldo Llosa, Nora Márquez, Rocio Mendoza, Maureen Mengedoht, Rachel Metcalf, Ximena Nuñez del Prado, Felipe Ossio, José Antonio Rosas, Bruno Salvetti, Diego Sandoval, Lisette Sarfaty, Gein Skarstein, Cynthia Sturner, Corey Topf, and Cecilia Van Oordt.
Once again, thank you to all in the Roosevelt community for your involvement in and support of the strategic planning process.
Together, We Are Colegio Roosevelt.
Dr. Kerry Jacobson
