It is published online each weekend, thus helping the Roosevelt community plan their week in advance. Kindergarten students are learning about their senses and they had the opportunity to touch all the ingredients, see what they were preparing, smell and taste the pizzas! Enjoy the pictures!
ES BAKE SALE The PTA is currently soliciting donations of sweet and/or savory items for the annual Elementary School Bake Sale to be held on Wednesday, September 16th, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on the Green by the turtle pond. All proceeds from this event go towards the annual Christmas party for the children of Colegio Roosevelt facilities and maintenance staff. If you'd like to donate an item, please email us at pta@amersol.edu.pe DISMISSAL TIME Parents, please be reminded that at the end of the day you have to wait for your children in the car pick-up area, in the Alameda or in front of the ES Office and not outside their classrooms. There is a lot of noise in the corridors and this is very disruptive for students and teachers. Thanks for your understanding. PROMOTING THE LEARNER PROFILE Our Learner Profile encourages our students to be inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced, and reflective. In an effort to keep our Learner Profile highly visible on our campus, it is posted in every classroom and in our hallways. Teachers are always looking for connections between classroom activities and children’s daily experiences to bring these words to life and give them meaning to our students. We encourage parents to model the Learner Profile at home as well A GREAT OPPORTUNITY Parents, as you wait in line, drive through our car pick-up area, and collect your children, you have a wonderful opportunity to model respectful, principled behavior. When your children see you waiting patiently and following our pick-up procedures, they are learning to be respectful citizens. You are your child’s first and most important teacher, and actions always speak louder than words. As a reminder, horns should not be used for any reason once you have entered our gate. Also, be sure to pull as far forward as possible and pick up your children in the lane designated for your youngest child. We ask that the older siblings wait at the designated place for their youngest brother or sister. Thanks for your cooperation as we strive to create the safest environment for all our students.ES CAR DROP OFF AREA In an effort to improve traffic flow in the morning, starting tomorrow we will once again allow Middle School and High School siblings of Early Childhood /Elementary School students to enter campus through the ES car drop-off area (Gate #2 - Calle Los Eucaliptos). MS and HS students may then walk across campus to their divisions. This added flexibility to the morning flow of traffic should alleviate some of the congestion in the HS/MS drop off area (Gate #5 - Av. Las Palmeras). GREEN TIP OF THE MONTH: USE FEWER PAPER TOWELS AND NAPKINS! |
