PARENT ORIENTATIONS

Last week we finished with all the Parent Orientations. It was great to see so many parents taking advantage of this opportunity to meet their child’s teachers, learn about the curriculum and expectations, and ask questions.

AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

After-School Activities will start Monday, August 24 for first through fifth graders. Please contact the PE Office if changes need to be made to schedules.

An E-mail notification has been sent out by Mr. Steve Leboo with information regarding the enrollment of your child / children in After School Activities. Please check this E-mail before Monday. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the P.E. Department on extension 4108 or call in the P.E. Office.

STUDENT ID CARDS

Last week we sent home FDR ID Cards with our students. Please keep these ID Cards in a safe place. Your child may receive discounts, for example at museums and special events, by showing his/her ID Card.

READ-A-THON

Please tell your children to bring the READ-A-THON lists back to the Media Center not later than Monday, August 24. Students are going to have an opportunity to go to the library for free books, cookies and certificates if they bring those lists.

LOST AND FOUND

As usual, our Lost and Found Closet is completely full with jackets, lunch boxes, t-shirts and other lost items. We also have eyeglasses, iPODs, and watches at the Elementary office. If you are near our office, please stop by and see if you can find your children´s belongings.
We also ask that you check to see if the uniform your child is wearing really does belong to him/her. Some parents are looking for their children jackets or vests, but they cannot find them. Please remember to label all your child’s cloths.
