Elementary School Parent Bulletin – August 17, 2009IMPORTANT DATES
ROOSEVELT GREY SWEATSHIRTS PARENT ORIENTATIONS This week we will continue our Parent Orientations for third, fourth and fifth grades. It was great to see so many parents last week taking advantage of this opportunity to meet their child’s teachers, learn about the curriculum and expectations, and ask questions. Please refer to the dates listed above. Your child will bring home more detailed information closer to the time of your orientation. AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES After-School Activities will start Monday, August 24 for first through fifth graders. Please contact the PE Office if changes need to be made to schedules. CAR PICK UP Parents, please drive forward to the far end of the car pick up lane when picking up your children. Please do not stop directly in front of your children, as this slows the process for everyone. Thanks for your cooperation! PERMISSION FOR TRANSPORTING GROUPS OF STUDENTS TO PARTIES If you plan to take a group of students to your child’s birthday party or other event after school, you must complete the appropriate forms available in the elementary office. Parents are asked to make arrangements with secretaries several days before the activity. WRITTEN NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TRANSPORTATION To ensure the safety of every student, we must have written notice of any changes in transportation for your child(ren). In addition to sending a note with your child, you may also fax (702-4505) or email Marisa Carrion at mcarrion@amersol.edu.pe. Thank you for your cooperation! KEEPING OUR HALLWAYS CLEAR Parents, please be reminded that we make great efforts to keep our hallways clear and quiet so that students have an optimal learning environment. Please do not go directly to classrooms (or send nannies, maids, or drivers) during school hours from 8:00 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. If you would like something delivered to a classroom, please leave it at the main gate that our janitors are going to bring them to the ES Office and we will make sure your child receives it. Thank you for your cooperation! READ-A-THON Please tell your children to bring the READ-A-THON lists back to the Media Center. Students are going to have an opportunity to go to the library for free books, cookies and certificates. |
