THIS WEEK IS IB WEEK - A CELEBRATION OF STUDENT WORK!

While we know that every week is IB week at FDR, June 2-6 was identified as a time to acknowledge and celebrate our accomplishments as an IB World School. Samples of IB projects from PYP, MYP and DP will be available for all to browse in the Media Center next week.

EC-4 CHILDREN VISIT “LAS PALMAS” AIR FORCE BASE:

As part of our PYP Unit: Going Places, all the EC-4 children visited the Air Force Base
"Las Palmas".

We saw the hangars where airplanes were being repaired. We got to see different types of
war planes such as Sucoy and Mirage. We even watched the take off of one of these planes.
It was a great experience!!

THIRD GRADE STUDENTS ARE GETTING READY FOR THE MARKET PLACE:

This week all Third Grade students are bringing in sample products for Market Place which will be held Thursday, June 19 from 9:30 to 11:00. The sample products will be part of their market research day next Tuesday when all third grade students will get feedback about their business and products.

MRS. PAZ SOLDAN’S ASSEMBLY:

The Elementary School Staff and Alumni gathered to honor Mrs. Paz Soldán for her years of
service at Roosevelt and to wish her the best of lucks on her new adventure.
