CONFERENCE WEEK HAS BEEN CHANGED TO MAY 5-9:

Parents, please note that our Conference Week has been moved up one week sooner due to the school holidays on May 15 and 16.  For our EC3/4 and kinder students, Three-Way Conferences will be held.  Students participate directly in these conferences by sharing work samples from their portfolios and discussing their goals with their parents and teachers.   Our first through fifth graders will have Student-Led Conferences, with the students leading the conferences and demonstrating their responsibility for their own learning. Teachers will be available to have individual conversations with parents during the time scheduled for the Student-Led Conferences.

Please be reminded that there will be early dismissal at 12:20 each day this week, and there will be no religion classes on Wednesday, May 7.

SPOTLIGHT ON LEARNING:

First graders are excited to read each week with their EC4 neighbors.  The first graders practice all week with the books they will share so that they can read confidently with their EC4 buddies.

SECOND GRADE POETRY MORNING:

For three to four weeks, students in Ms. Hendershott's second grade class worked on poetry during writing workshop. Students were exposed to many different types of poems and they wrote many creative pieces. The class created a collection of poems that each student shared with his/her parents on the morning of April 16th. Students and parents alike were excited and proud of our poets.
