WELCOME:

We extend a warm welcome to our new elementary students, as well as our returning students, and their families!  It’s wonderful to see children back together with their old friends, as well as making new friends.

AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES:

Students will bring home their sign up sheets for after school activities this week.  Students will have an opportunity at school to sign up for their choices and will be notified if their isn’t enough space for everyone.  Names are drawn randomly if their are more students than spaces for an activity, and students who are not chosen can make other selections.   After school activities will begin Monday, March 10.

SHOES:

Students must wear ALL BLACK OR ALL WHITE TENNIS SHOES, with laces the same color as the shoes, and uniform socks.  If shoes have markings of a different color on them we ask that parents dye them to match the black or white of the shoes. For safety reasons STUDENTS MAY NOT WEAR SHOES WITH HIDDEN WHEELS (roller-shoes).

CELL PHONE USE BY STUDENTS:

We suggest that students do not bring cell phones to school.  However, if students do bring them to school, they can only use their cell phones BEFORE and AFTER school, and during lunch-recess IN THE OFFICE ONLY. At all other times, cell phones must be turned off.

SUN PROTECTION:

Please be sure to put sun block on your children before they come to school in the morning and send a hat or cap with them. The sun is very hot and direct when they are on the playground or doing activities outside.  They need the sun—but not so much that it harms their skin!

PHOTOS:

Our teachers are very enthusiastic about applying what they learned in the Bonnie Campbell Hill Language Arts workshop!  Children are enjoying reading in the beautiful reading spaces their teachers have created.
