Dear Parents:

Welcome to First Grade!! My name is Julie Espa. I will be your child's teacher this year.  

It is our aim in First Grade to help each child develop skills that will enable him/her to be a successful learner and empower him/her to improve and enrich his/her life.   This means acquiring and sharing literacy in personal, social and intellectual contexts.   We attempt to achieve this in a fun, challenging and respectful environment, and we invite you to be part of it.

I am looking forward to a great year and to an experience that could only be described as one-of-a-kind.
