Process Journal
May 27:
Today we didn't do anything because I lost the materials. I brought them yesterday and left them in a classroom, but the teacher wasn't there so I couldn't get them and we didn't advanced. We just did another plan, and the measurements.
May 29:
Today we advanced a lot. We first made a car with the cans, but then we wanted to do it lighter and used Styrofoam. Arianne brought the fabric catalog and we chose the fabric. We need to measure it for tomorrow so Arianne can send it so we can get the fabric. We worked much more than Thursday.
May 30:
Today we advanced on pasting the aluminum to the car. We also planned how we are going to make it work.
June 2:
Today we made more ideas of how the wheels are going to be put together; we came up with Legos. We also planned about the fabric.
June 3:
Today we told Arianne that she needs to bring the car for the fabric. We didn't do a lot because the wheels are too small and what we did is design stickers, (if we are going to use them). I think we should focus more in making the work. Tomorrow even though we don't have class, we will bring everyone wheels. Unluckily Ms. Lemeley is disappointed with our work but I know we will catch up. Is that we are not in task for now.
June 5:
Today we did a lot. We catch up and now I think we can win. We pasted the fabric to the car, did the motor thingies and gear stuff. The leopard fabric was already cut, but the pink fabric we needed to cut and paste it to the car and also paste other wheels. It is the more advanced class we have ever made. I am proud of me and our group.
June 6:
Today we advanced a lot. We made another layer of fabric in some parts of the car. We used the silicon gun. I pasted the motor with the wheels and they work. Now I will bring them to my house to put the electrotape.
June 9: We already finished our car and tested it, but it doesn't go fast, it almost doesn't move. The wheels/motor do work, but it is unbalanced. Today there was a substitute, there was not Ms.Lemley. We hope that when Ms.Lemley is here she helps up with that little problem.
June 10:
We took out the wheels and changed all the technical part because it didn't work well. We used the Styrofoam and the electrotape to make it, but it doesn't work and I think we will need to try it on Friday.
June 12:
Today we test the car. The first one was not so good and it was too slow. The second one did work, but still is slow. The problem was that the little wheels were not touching the floor, the Styrofoam was, so we needed to cut the Styrofoam and then we didn’t had a chance to test it again.
June 13:
Today, we tested it again, now it did work and west "fast". We put fabric in the down part to cover the electrotape, so it will look better.
June 16:
Today, we advanced with repasting the car, even though it didn't need any. We tested it and it works very good. Ms. Lemely told us that we could start our webpage for tomorrow. I hope I can go to the fieldtrip. After all the work, the car works.
